A three-act composition performed in quadraphonic sound. Each act represents a time scale of Earth’s natural history, situating an entropic journey from the past pastoral balance to the present Anthropocene and into a future of habitat collapse.
A room scale installation approximately 35’ x 35’ with speakers in 4 corners facing the center. A singular performer is in the center. Additional orchestration of the piece will be unseen operating a life performance of the backing elements of the composition.
The multisensorial environment is bare except for the speakers and the visible performer in center inside of a ring of expanding blue to red light. The audience exists within speaker perimeter. The fog and scents emerge throughout the acts. The piece is approximately thirty minutes.
